Students will display their uniqueness and help their classmates learn about them
Tasks:
Week 1
1) During Home Visits teacher and parent will discuss qualities about their child's personality
  • Ask student to name some of their favorite things such as food, color, animal, etc.
  • Explain to the family during the Home Visit that for our first parent meeting we want to have a digital display to introduce our Pre-K students to our school
2) Ask parents to provide 5 to 10 pictures of their child that can be uploaded for this purpose.
Week 2
1) Collect pictures that have been brought in for the children (if no pictures are sent in, take pictures of the child in class doing their favorite things and clip art of things they like.
2) In small group, discuss students favorite things and facts about them
3) In large Group teacher will use a projector to disply her personal All About Me "Photostory" to the students
4) Discuss with students that we will be working together to help them create their own Photostory or Glogster All About Them!
Week 3
1) Students will be divided into small groups of 4.
2) Students will be assisted by our technology and media specialists and view another sample of glogster posters and a photostory.
3) Students will decide on whether they want their All About Me display to be a photostory or a Glogster
4) Assist students with their display be sure to ask them if they would like words on certain pictures to give them their personal touch.
5) Completed activity will be displayed during our first parent meeting to showcase the preschoolers

  • S.W. communicate their uniqueness digitally, collaborate with peers to discuss simialrities and differences, make decisions about how they want to present their All About Me story, use creativity, reflection and critical thinking while working to put their story together
Assessment:
S.W. be assessed on how they communicate during the process of putting their story together along with their ability to describe the pictures they selected for the display
